Bora’s story
Hello! I’m Bora Behets,
I’m a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and Mom of two. I have always been an active person and feel most alive when I’m moving my body in many ways such as, dancing, weight lifting, jumping on the trampoline, skating and playing tag with my kids. My area of interest is in functional fitness and core strengthening to tackle diastasis recti, something that I personally experienced pre-& postnatal.
After birthing to two (very large) children, I didn’t recognise my body. I felt very lost in my sense of self, style and the way I moved in the world.
I had a fist wide diastasis rectus—a “separation” of the abdominal wall and struggle/d to close the gap. But, I have worked incredibly hard to learn how to move and exercise in the most effective way to reconnect with my core and love my stomach (including the loose skin) in its new form.
My personal mission is to help as many women as possible to find themselves again through fitness. I want to help women move, feel and look better, be confident and ultimately achieve their ideal fitness goal.
As a busy mum, I’m all about finding a way to make my fitness goals work around my lifestyle instead of compromising my life especially the precious time with my family for the gym. I believe that a happy woman makes a happy home so by doing something for yourself especially the physically difficult stuff, you are more capable of handling all the mentally challenging things that life may throw at you daily.
My aim is to make fitness a fun, practical and achievable activity that improves your quality of life. I want to take away the pressure to look a certain way and maintain a certain lifestyle. Instead, focus on wellness and a balanced lifestyle of workouts and healthy diets. My training method helps you commit to movement in a new and liberating way.
With my unique training plan and system, you’re no longer limited by what you can’t do as a mum. Instead, I give you tools and knowledge to empower you to show up anytime, anywhere. When you make a commitment and give your all to exercising, the exercise gives back in many ways such as better functionality, strength, lower risk of injury, prevention of osteoporosis, heart and brain power, a leaner body and overall better quality of life.
I invite you to redefine the way you move body by creating a deep connection with your mind and muscles every time you work out. Through dynamic practice, fundamental movements, innovative planning, and intentional mindset, you’ll experience strength beyond your expectations.
